After years of schlepping 30+lbs of photogear, it took another few years before I could decide how to enter the digital world. I downsized to the Sony RX10 IV but I had no idea how bewildering Sony's menus and submenus could be! After a few months of trying to find photo buddies here in my hometown who could help, including a really wasted and expensive 3 hrs of private "tutoring" from the large photo store, I turned to Amazon. After all, I learned how to use my old NIkons via instructional books, maybe there'll be something like that for this Sony. AND THERE IS!! The author writes clearly, systematically and gives plenty of photographic examples. If you buy the book, you also get the digital version so you can read it on your Kindle or on your smartphone via the Kindle app. So I don't get overwhelmed, I just cover a few pages at a time. I'll go to a local venue like the art museum, sit down with the book and follow each page's directions. Read, snap, read, snap. There are plenty of items that need more explanations and Mr White will tell you that they will be covered in "Chapter....".
