I have dozens of books on composition. This is one of the best. I taught photography for may years and made a good living shooting TV commercials. The focus of this book is finding images by carefully looking closely at the world around the photographer. Many of his images are around the house and neighborhood where it is best to practice composition without distraction.Bryan does talk about the technology involved in some shots, but does not try to teach everything about photography as so many authors do.In some shots he adds elements to already textured fore and back grounds. It is true that some of his locations are beyond the budding photographer, but practice in "mundane" locations can prepare the photographer to shoot much better pictures when shooting in exotic locations is possible.
